Once closer to the castle grounds Emily ran to the gates and tried opening them but they were locked. "Oh come on! How are we going to get inside now?" She moaned. "Maybe we are not meant to go inside. Let's go back." Maria stated still feeling uneasy. "Let me see if I can get the gate open." Andris said with a smile approaching the gate.As he fiddled with the lock Maria heard something in the woods behind them again. This time she was certain something was out there watching them. The uneasy feelng in her gut began to get worse when she then heard the howl of a wolf. Her eyes widened in terror. Emily let out a startled yelp hearing the wolf.
As if he didn't hear it,or didn't care,Andris continued tampering with the lock calmly. Maria watched the tree line behind them practically holding her breath waiting for something to happen when a wolf stepped out towards them. Behind it was two more wolves. Emily and Maria froze with horror unsure what to do, Andris as if he just now heard something turned around to face the wolves. The first wolf looked at the three then lunged for Emily clawing her shoulder and she tried dodging out of the way. Another wolf attacked Maria clawing her chest and arms as she tried fighting it off of her. "Andris help! Use your gun!" Maria shouted to Andris who ad been carrying a rifle. "Sorry miss. If I shoot one of them I may anger the countess."He stated calmly.
Emily used her hikers bag to knock the wolf off herself and not even thinking about Maria or Andris ran as fast as she could away from the wolves but two of them followed close behind her. "The countess? What are you talking about. Save me!" Maria pleaded using her hands to hold to wolf away from her throat as it had her pinned to the ground. Maria's strength was giving up on her and she couldn't hold the wolf back much longer. Tears filled her eyes as she feared the worse. "Please....do something." She whimpered one last time to Andris.
Andris approached her and the wolf calmly and said something in Hungarian, which oddly caused the wolf to stop attacking and run off back into the woods. Maria looked at him panting for air and feeling dizzy. Andris took her hand and forced her to her feet and looked her up and down. She had some claw marks on her arms shoulders and chest, but nothing fatal. After looking at her he pointed to the gate revealing it was now open. "Lets get you inside and cleaned up."He said in a soft voice leading her through the gate to the castle. Maria was in too much shock to resist or ask him what is going on.
Once inside the large gothic styled castle he led her to a bedroom and set her on the bed. He then left her there alone for several minutes before coming back with a cloth and a bowl of water. He sat on the bed by her and began cleaning her wounds. "They are not too deep so they shouldn't leave and bad scars or be fatal."He said as if to reassure her. After cleaning her wound he frowned at her clothes that were bloody and torn. "You need new clothes. The Countess wishes for her guests to be clean not filthy." He said getting to his feet and going to an old wardrobe to open. Maria raised an eyebrow at him mentioning "the countess" again.
Andris took an expensive very old fashioned looking gown out of the wardrobe and handed it to Maria telling her she needs to look her best. Still in shock and confused Maria reluctantly obeyed taking her dirty clothes off and putting the gown on when Andris wasn't looking. Once she was dressed Andris then did her hair pulling it back and twisting it into a bun.

The Countess' castle prt 1.

Maria sat on the bed starring at her new captors. Her once bright green eyes were glazed and dull as if the life in her was already gone. She had black hair that was messy and covered most of her face. Her skin was now pale and covered in scars on her arms legs hands and shoulders. The young lady had escaped hell only to be dragged back by these three strangers. And now she knew there was no escaping this time. She was doomed. She began to wonder if Emily her friend had escaped at least or if Emily was already dead. She hoped that her friend was more lucky than her and escaped, but since she hadn't seen her since the wolf attack she was most likely dead.
The nightmare began a week ago for Maria, though it seemed to her to last for an eternity. She and her friend Emily had gone backpacking across Europe and while in Hungary they heard rumors about an abandoned Castle that wasn't on the map. Being the adventurous types they decided to go looking for it and hired a local who claimed to know where it was. The local was a young looking man named Andris. He claimed to have been to the castle before and had explored it himself. The two young ladies paid him for his help and left the town to go looking for the castle which was in the wild supposedly.
As the three went hiking looking for the castle Emily asked Andris who owned the castle and where it came from. Andris explained its exact origins is unknown though there were rumors that it once belonged to the infamous Elizabeth Bathory. Though that was unlikely since there were no records of her having a castle in that location. Maria found this rumor interesting since she had learned about Elizabeth Bathory in her high school and knew the Countess was known for her cruelty and murder of supposedly over 200 young women.
A few hours into hiking the three were deep in the wilderness no sign of any life. There was no sound not even birds or bugs flying around. "It's not far from here ladies. We will be there in less than a half hour. See?" Andris pointed to a castle in the distance the top was visible through the tree line. Emily squealed in excitement in getting to explore a castle. Maria though stared into the distance feeling an odd sensation in her gut. As if something bad was going to happen and her intuition was warning her.
Once the three were closer and could now see the full castle Maria stopped hearing something behind them. She looked behind them and didn't see anything at first. "Come on Maria lets go explore it!" Emily said excitedly. "Are you sure this is abandoned and no one iives here Andris?" Maria asked their guide. Andris smiled in an odd way. "Of course. No one 'lives' here." He said emphasizing the word lives for some reason as if he was hinting at something.
